Individual Psychotherapy
We work one-on-one with clients in our safe, caring, and confidential environment by exploring your feelings, beliefs, or behaviors. Together, you and your therapist will work through difficult or influential memories and identify those aspects of your life you’d like to change. The goal is to help you better understand yourself as well as others and to strive toward desired change.
There are many reasons to seek individual therapy or counseling, like coping with a major life challenge, coming to terms with painful childhood trauma, dealing with depression or anxiety, or simply seeking greater self-knowledge and personal growth.
Whether your unique needs and personal goals require just a few sessions or many more, the caring and compassionate counselors at Advanced Psychology Partners are ready to help you with each step of the journey.
Relationship and Couples Therapy
Whether you are engaged, dating, cohabiting or married, relationship and couples therapy can strengthen your relationship. Guided by the trained relationship therapy team at Advanced Psychology Partners, you can identify and work through specific areas of conflict or other aspects of your relationship that need to change, and develop a plan to improve satisfaction and interpersonal functioning.
At Advanced Psychology Partners, couples work with us to get to the heart of how individual feelings, thoughts, beliefs, behaviors, and problematic communication styles may be negatively impacting your relationship. Eric and Donna will work with you as a team to identify and address critical problems and develop strategies to protect and enhance your long-term stability and happiness as a couple.
Group Psychotherapy
Group therapy can be a useful addition to individual or couple therapy, or might be your primary therapy all on its own. Sometimes discussing problems with a group of like-minded others with similar experiences makes us feel reassured and less alone.
At Advanced Psychology Partners, we conduct small groups of 5 to 7 clients plus one of our therapists. Groups focus on a specific issue on a time-limited basis, usually 10 to 16 weeks. Our groups target sex addiction behaviors, infidelity, separation and divorce, as well as other life transitions. Only first names are used in our groups to ensure your confidentiality and privacy.
Group therapy at Advanced Psychology Partners provides a pathway to healing and change in a safe and supportive environment. By allowing you to share your experiences and hear and consider different points of view and different coping strategies, group therapy helps clients find greater insight within a safe, private, and professionally guided setting. It can be comforting and supportive to receive encouragement from fellow members going through the same thing.
